With heartfelt apologies to Australia, NZ, India, China et al as I couldn’t work out the times for you but do have a stab somewhere in the middle of the weekend.
So Cell Wars is not historical fiction but then you’re not limited to one genre, are you?
This is allegorical fantasy and something of a flight of fancy for a whole series that could cover everything from mental health to pandemic resistance, and a whole lot of fun in the process. But only if you think it’s worth pursuing. If when you read it you think I need professional help, I’m sure you’ll tell me. After all, that’s why I hid behind a pseudonym in the first place!
It's a short book and once you warmed to the outrageous flirt that is Bill and his larger-than-life boss Imelda, you’ll find yourself immersed for a couple of joyful if scary hours inside an accountant named Brian and his wife Betty.
Although anyone under the age of 50 will believe this to be truly original and wonderfully imaginative, original it ain’t. Oldies among you may remember The Beano’s Numskulls or the science fiction films Fantastic Voyage and Inner Space. Cell Wars takes this concept a few hesitant steps forward into the 21st Century.
It’s a bit of Terry Pratchett meets Lewis Carroll – hence the remarkable cover image by Lynda Adlington who is a true believer in angels and the miracles the human body can work in its mission of self-healing.
So please share this far and wide and let your chums know about this free offer saving them a staggering two quid. There’s also a paperback for those among us who linger in old technology (still the better format in my opinion) but I can’t give this away because postage prices have sky-rocketed of late!

Meanwhile, before you plunge in to Cell Wars, here’s another image from the cover designer Lynda Adlington who is surely going to find an astonishing career as a book cover designer on the back of this:
Lynda, that cover is surreally beautiful!
